Reviews and Ratings
I recently visited the beach resort in Haiti and had a pleasant time overall. The beach was clean and beautifully inviting, although the road leading to the resort could use some work. While the appetizer and lunch offerings were tasty, I felt the $45 fee was a bit on the pricier side for what we got. The atmosphere was nice, but I'd advise bringing water shoes due to the rocky beach access.
I recently spent a disappointing Sunday at this hotel and felt cheated out of my experience. While the beach itself was clean and nice, the service left much to be desired. I had high hopes for the amenities and dining options, but they were severely lacking, especially considering the price I paid for the day pass. I can't say I would return after this experience.
I was part of a mission trip in Haiti and expected basic accommodations. The room I stayed in had good air conditioning, but hot water was a rare commodity, only available one day out of my five-night stay. Although there was a decent range of food, it quickly became repetitive. Staff interactions were generally unfriendly, which was disappointing. The environment showed a lack of upkeep, and my passport was held for the duration of my stay, which made me uncomfortable. Overall, it’s not a great choice for families due to some unpleasant incidents during my stay.
I had a great experience at Kaliko, enjoying the beach and the all-inclusive day pass. The staff members are kind and attentive, making my family feel at home. However, the pool needs a bit more upkeep, and the lack of towels for regular admission was a slight letdown. Despite these minor issues, we had a fun and memorable day.
